Sizes

SiliNOT! Flex is available in 1 lb, 2 lb, 3 lb, 4 lb, 5 lb, and 15 lb package sizes to support different mold volumes and production workflows. Larger package sizes provide a lower cost per pound due to reduced packaging and handling overhead. For high-volume use or discounted pricing, refer to the Bulk Product listings.

Bulk Packs are the most cost-efficient option, providing the lowest cost per pound for continuous or high-volume mold-making applications.

Volume

SiliNOT! is measured by weight, but volume is easy to estimate: one pound of material equals approximately 400 mL (13.5 fl oz) when melted. To determine how much you need, calculate the volume of the object or mold box you plan to fill and match it to the equivalent liquid volume. This allows accurate sizing for both small molds and large production runs.

Mold Volume Estimation Tip

To estimate how much SiliNOT! you need, place your mold master in its mold box and fill the space with water. Measure that water volume to determine the exact amount of melted SiliNOT! required for your mold.

Melt

SiliNOT! Flex has a melt point of approximately 150°F (65°C), at which the material becomes fully liquid and ready to pour. For best results, it should be poured within a controlled temperature range of 130–150°F (54–65°C), where the viscosity is optimized for detail capture while remaining safe and easy to handle. Maintaining this temperature window ensures consistent flow, minimal bubbles, and reliable mold formation. Do not exceed 200F/93C.

Melt Tip

Keeping SiliNOT! at the upper end of its pouring temperature range allows trapped air to rise and escape more easily before the material sets. The longer SiliNOT! stays hot, the fewer bubbles, and more accurate surface detail it will achieve.

Compatibility

SiliNOT! is compatible with a wide range of mold positives, including 3D printed PLA, PETG, ABS, and resin prints, as well as clay, wax, wood, metal, glass, stone, and most sealed or painted surfaces. It can also be used over silicone, rubber, and most cured plastics without adhesion, making it suitable for remolding existing parts or reproducing components. As a casting mold, SiliNOT! works well with epoxy and polyurethane resins, plaster, gypsum, cement, wax, soaps, low-melt alloys, and many craft casting compounds, producing clean releases and reliable detail.

Determining Compatibility

Compatibility with SiliNOT! is determined by whether a material can withstand moderate heat. Non-porous, heat-stable materials like plastics, metals, glass, sealed wood, and cured resins work well because they do not absorb or react with the melted SiliNOT!. Materials that are soft, porous, low-temperature plastics, or solvent-based may deform, absorb, or bond to the material, which is why a small test is always recommended. Seal all surfaces before using. Use White or Translucent for plaster, as the Blue Color may transfer.

Mold Release

While SiliNOT! releases cleanly from most non-porous surfaces, a mold release is recommended for complex shapes, porous materials, or deep undercuts. Food-safe oils, light cooking sprays, and thin layers of petroleum jelly all work effectively when applied as a light, even coating. Using a minimal amount prevents surface defects while ensuring easy separation and longer mold life.

Heating

SiliNOT! can be melted using a microwave, a double boiler, or a hot water bath, depending on your setup and batch size. Each method allows controlled, even heating to bring the material into its pourable range without overheating. For step-by-step instructions and safety guidelines, refer to the How-To Guide for your preferred heating method.

Strength

SiliNOT! Flex is engineered to balance elasticity and tear resistance, allowing molds to stretch for easy demolding while maintaining structural integrity through repeated use. It resists cracking, tearing, and permanent deformation, even with moderate undercuts and repeated casting cycles. This combination of flexibility and durability provides consistent mold performance across a wide range of casting materials and applications.

Care

Store SiliNOT! in a sealed bag or container in a cool, dry environment to prevent contamination and moisture absorption. For cleaning, wash the material only in cold water and dry it immediately to maintain surface quality and performance. Spills or residue should be allowed to cool and solidify before removal, then cleaned with a mild degreaser and warm water.

Safety

SiliNOT! is made from non-toxic, food-grade ingredients derived from rice, citrus, and soy, making it safe for use in studios, classrooms, and home environments when used as directed. The material does not contain xylitol. It is not Kosher, Vegan or Halal. Care should always be taken when heating, as melted SiliNOT! can cause burns if handled while hot. Use heat-safe containers and tools, avoid direct skin contact with the melted material, and allow it to cool before handling or cleanup.

Reduce Mold Making Anxiety

Mold making doesn’t have to be stressful. SiliNOT!® removes the fear of mistakes by letting you remelt and reuse the material if something goes wrong, so nothing is wasted. That freedom to retry, experiment, and adjust makes mold making feel approachable, forgiving, and confidence-building.

What is it?

SiliNOT!® is a reusable thermo-bioplastic mold-making material made from food-grade, non-toxic ingredients. It melts with heat, flows to capture detail, and solidifies as it cools, without curing or chemical reactions, so it can be remelted and reused repeatedly without material loss. This makes it a biodegradable, low-waste alternative to silicone that’s safer, more forgiving, and more cost-effective for makers of all levels.

Silicone.

One-and-Done

Once cured, silicone is permanent and can’t be remelted, forcing you to start from scratch every time.

Slow and Messy

Requires precise measuring, mixing, and long cure times that slow down every project.

Hard to Recycle

Relies on chemical curing agents and is difficult to dispose of responsibly.

Locked to One Shape

Once cured, molds are fixed forever, limiting creativity and driving up material costs.

Trusted by Thousands.

Fantastic for reusable moulding

Sets to an excellent firmness, highly flexible but doesn't crack or split. Once you've got it in smaller amounts it re-melts quickly and easily in the microwave and resets just as quickly and easily. Perfect for prototyping molds

I have wasted so many hundreds of dollars on silicone mixes only to throwaway because I just needed it for a prototype starter. This stuff is such a perfect solution to my needs! I’ve already saved countless hours - Also LOVE LOVE that it’s quick most of the time it’s less than an hour and I’m ready to use it. Easy to use!

I have extensive experience with mold making and I've tried a bunch of different mold-making materials, but SiliNOT! really stands out. The smell is really not that bad, which is a big plus for me since I often work in small spaces. Really easy to use

It's super easy to use and i can make a ton of different things. I use this to make reusable picky pads and used the smallest amount for a good sized pad. It melts quickly and cures quickly. I haven't had any issues, and I can get so much use out of it. It's super easy to use and i can make a ton of different things. I use this to make reusable...
